Mounting Your Needlework In A WhimZi Frame

Lay your stitched piece face down on thick toweling.

Use a pressing cloth and your steam iron to block the piece.

Cut a piece of fusible interfacing (medium weight) slightly larger than the design. We recommend purchasing Just Nan Accessory WFA06 interfacing squares or something very similar. Not all interfacing will cling completely to the linen without using a damp cloth. We do not recommend using damp materials around your stitching.

Place interfacing shiny side down on the back of the stitching.

Carefully slide a hot, dry iron over the interfacing, fusing it to the linen with slight pressure.

Using the chipboard as a template, trace the shape on to the interfacing with a pencil, centering the design in the square.

Cut out the square design with sharp scissors and attach to the white side of the label card with double stick tape. The fused interfacing will prevent raveling, and the tape will stop the piece from shifting in the frame.

Place in the frame; add the chipboard and the black backing card and you are done! For a little more flash, add one of the Just Nan embellishments or a pretty bow to the loop of the frame.

If you would like to use your WhimZi frame as an easel back frame, you can download a template to cut the black backing card at this link:

Each WhimZi frame comes with an organza pouch for storing or gift-giving. Enjoy!
